The rooms are unfortunately already very run down and much too small (at least the one assigned to us). The entrance area is very crowded and therefore looks untidy. This hotel also lacks cleanliness. A shame when you consider that the location is great!
Pleasant atmosphere in a somewhat aging house. But that is precisely what makes the hotel so charming - for those who like that. In addition, friendly and prudent employees. Good!
So we have already stayed two mall there, and were very satisfied, room OK breakfast very tasty and plentiful of everything.
So we were satisfied. A weekend spent in the hotel. Everything was clean, staff friendly, breakfast good. Beautifully situated on the Moselle, centrally in Cochem. The bathroom was actually very small and not recommended for movement impaired. The interior is older .... yes ..... but somehow fits again to the charm of the hotel. I will gladly come again.
Small place, quiet, but small elevator.
Good breakfast buffet, but for tourists passing small rooms with very very small shower, impossible to wash and in the evening (not too late) the front door is closed all fire off we must go back.
Dirty place, unpleasant service, recommended to avoid this place, even it will be the last choice in Cochem
bad experience. The website of the hotel promised free WIFI and parkingspace. You should read, NO WIFI and NO PARKINGSPACE. On some distance you can park on paid parking only, the next morning you have to buy a new parking ticket at 8.00 am! Without notice we were directed to the "gastehaus", this is sited on short distance from the hotel, but can't be reached with an SUV because the streets are too narrow. Our room in the "gastehaus" was very small (not like the foto's on the website) and the bathroom was not even 3 square meters. The next morning you have to walk back to the hotel for breakfast.
Unfortunately, 0 points does not go. Lowest class. Definitely not recommended. Guest rooms are the cheapest, old worn paint is lacking in many places, towels stink, a lot of spiders in the room carpet broken. That was probably the worst room ever. And then ask for 110 €.
Stuffy room, too hot, you can hear the neighbours in the bathroom.... the staff is very friendly and helpful though
Unfortunately, you can forgive a star here. 0 points for cleanliness, friendliness, problem solving. Do not book
Food was delicious, friendly service. We recommend eating here at our guest house.
3 course menu for 13.50 was very tasty. Fast friendly service. Nice semi-open terrace on the Moselle promenade.
Nice hotel. Very clean. Good value for money. Excellent breakfast. Deco very busy. A little tired. The sun not being there, everything was beautiful
Wanted to book a room there. After the request was answered unfriendly, I prefer not to go there. Seeking another hotel that is certainly better for customers.
We spent a wonderful time in Burghotel. The room was sparkling clean and we could also enjoy the Mosel from our terrace. The dinner food was absolutely delicious, the staff was nice and professional and the price / performance ratio was right. We recommend the hotel without reservation :)
Nice atmospheric hotel, where we have eaten well twice. However, the room was very small and noisy. What we also regretted was that the towels were not exchanged for clean, not even during our three-night stay here. We had stay with breakfast, this was reasonably well taken care of. The staff could have been a bit friendlier and more hospitable to us. There is also a swimming pool, small but sufficient. My advice, to do well for a few nights, but not suitable for a longer stay. Note: hotel does not have its own parking space. So throw money in the parking meter. If you want to park longer, I recommend the parking garage is a 10-minute walk away, where you can buy a day ticket for € 8.00.
Very nice medieval hotel-restaurant with friendly service. Large selection of delicious food.
Catastrophe. The room was extremely small, dark, the decor from the early 70s and totally "ridden down". We had a double room where the beds side by side had a height difference of 15 cm. The worst thing, however, was the unfriendliness of the staff and the end of September the heating was still off. We were very cold at night and hope that we will not get sick. This has accumulated in the room a lot of moisture which was then clearly visible on the walls and windows. Hands off! Real horror hotel !!
Outrageous value for money! Not recommendable. We booked two double rooms in the hotel. The location of the hotel is great. However, there are no parking spaces at the hotel. From the next parking lot to the hotel you walk 1 km with your luggage. And the parking spaces are all chargeable. The reception at the hotel was not particularly warm. We had to pay for the room in advance, which I don't know. Probably so that we don't turn around straight away when we see the room. The first room was a double room with a view of the Moselle for € 160 a night. In addition to cracks in the walls, only a cleaning bucket as a garbage can in the bathroom, a dirty and greasy minibar on the inside and a totally dusty exhaust grille in the bathroom, the light switches were dirty in places and it was extremely noisy in the room. You could hear every neighbor in the toilet, every door that was closed. The second double room cost € 120 a night and was an impertinence. The bathroom was so small that the only way to use the sink was to leave the door open. The joints were peeled off or dirty in places. And the view ... a tiny, dark courtyard with several fire escapes. When asked for another room, the answer came: "You can get another room tomorrow." We did NOT get this despite our promise. The breakfast was set up on different tables and counters. It was very confusing and you had to push past the other guest tables in places. The scrambled eggs were still almost raw, and bread rolls or croissants were only available until about 9 a.m. What was then gone was gone, according to the waitress. The rolls weren't even fresh, just baked. The fruit salad tasted totally sour, as if it was fermenting. The hotel is generally in need of renovation and renovation. Making coal is the motto here, without investing a lot of money in the hotel. All in all, not a nice stay and absolutely not worth the money!
First the positive: the location! Everything else was unfortunately not so optimal. The room or rather the chamber was very small, the bathroom was not 2qm, washbasin use only with an open door possible. The elevator is also very small and narrow. Breakfast buffet ok, no large selection of rolls and bread. Price performance not ok!
Great !!! .. cozy ... cozy..good atmosphere..top room..super view..delicious food..sure a must ...
The hotel is located directly on the Moselle and right in the center of Cochem. So a very good location. Parking was a bit of a hassle because the closest parking garage, which works with the hotel, is about 1 km away. But it can be easily reached on foot. The room was quite small, but clean and everything necessary was available. Our room was at the back of the pedestrian zone, where it was quite noisy in the evening. The bathroom was clean, but way too small. You could hardly sit properly on the toilet because it was too tight. The breakfast buffet was good. Everything you need for breakfast was available. The staff was very friendly.
Great choice of food, good value, excellent service
Excellent food, some traditional German dishes. Friendly service. Prices are midrange and certainly good value for money.
